Task 2: When choosing a job, the salary is the most important consideration. To what extend do you agree or disagree.
It is supposed that the salary is proritized most when someone seeks a job. While I accept that this may be suitable for many people, I do believe that there are other options considered instead of a high salary.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why people tend to choose a well-paid job. It is undeniable that a high salary has an important role in any employees who have to earn enough to maintain their families in comfort. Being offered a job with a good wages allows emloyees to afford their basic needs, even buy luxury things that they desire such as sport cars or branded goods. Moreover, a competitive salary is one of the best motivations for any ambitious employees. For instance, the head of the company may offer a promotion if his staffs do well their works like achieving a higher sales target. This reward will encourage these employees to try to work harder and improve the quality of work.
On the other hand, job seekers has still different other causes to decide which job is the most appropriate. Firstly, job satisfaction is extremely important when choosing to pursue a career. If a person has the dream to be an excellent businesswoman, she will not be happy being a doctor, no matter how stable and high-paid the job is. Secondly, contributing to the community is another reason of those who pay attention to the development of community when taking account of a job. For example, Mr. Nguyen Thanh My- the president of My Lan Group, who has lived and worked in Canada for more than 20 years, has come back and set up a company in his fatherland- Vietnam. Nowadays, My Lan Group has become an innovative and environmentally conscious specialty chemical company located in Tra Vinh province, Vietnam. He not only creates thousand works for people in a poor province as Tra Vinh but he also inspires the youth’s startup spirit. Although if he decided to continue to live in Canada, he would make much more money than in Vietnam, he still went back to his homeland.
In conclusion, it is obvious that money can be seen as an important factor when taking up a prospective career, but this is by no means the key consideration for anybody in determining their employment.
