The bar chart below shows the proportion of English men and women of
different ages who were living alone in 2011. The pie chart compares the
numbers of bedrooms in these one-person households.[pic] [pic]
The given bar illustrates the percentage of English male and female from
different age groups who lived alone and the given pie chart shows the
numbers of bedrooms in these single- occupant households in the year 2009.Overall, the proportion of woman living individual was higher than the
figure for men and the most considerable difference can be seen in the
older age group. Besides, most of people owned a home with two bedrooms
during the period recorded.It is noticeable that the rate of female in 65-74, 75-84 and 85 and over
aged group living alone was approximately 65%, 70% and 75% respectively. By
contrast, there was over 60% male from 25 to 49 years old staying single
through the period shown. Furthermore, the lowest difference between the
rates of both genders living alone belonged to the 16-24 and 50-64 aged
groups, at about 50%.Roughly 35,4% of one-person houses had two bedrooms while these figures for
four bedrooms was only 5,3% during the same time. In addition, the
percentage of single person’s apartment having one bedroom or three
bedrooms fluctuated around 19% in 2009.Attachments:
