The table shows the Proportions of Pupils Attending Four Secondary School
Types Between 2000 and 2009.

The given table illustrates the percentage of students taking part in four
secondary school kinds from 2000 and 2009.

In general, while the percentage of pupils in community schools followed an
upward trend, these figures for some remaining countries showed an opposite
trend during the period recorded.

It is noticeable that although the number of students enrolling in
community schools was lowest in 2000, at 12%, this figure then rose
considerably to 32% and constantly boosted to nearly 60% in 2009. By
contrast, the highest number of people belonged to following voluntary-
controlled schools, at 52% in 2000. However, this number then showed a
gradual decline to 38% in 2005 and 20% in 2009.

Besides, standing at 24% in the first year recorded, the rate of students
attending grammar schools then decreased by 5% to 19% in the five following
years before dropping dramatically to 12% in the last year shown.
Similarly, the number of pupil following specialist schools decreased
gradually from 12% in 2000 to 11% in 2005 and 10% in 2009.
