Some believe that people need to live simpler lives to solve environmental
problems. Others, however, believe technology is the way to solve these
problems. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, the considerable technological progress forms a plenty of
environmental problems. While many people think that people need a simpler
life to degrade problems about environment, I believe that technology is a
good measure to decrease these situations. In this essay, I am going to
discuss these views in broader perspective.

It is understandable why many people claim that the lifestyle with the use
of less complicated technology could reduce some negative impacts on
environment. In fact, the availability of variety of high-tech equipment
and toxic chemicals undoubtedly leads to the environment degradation in
different ways. People often have an addiction to this high technology
without realizing that they indirectly give a hand to damage environment.
Taking electrical equipment as a typical as a good example, although these
electrical tools actually bring more gadgets for citizens, they often spend
plenty of power. Therefore, the misuse of high-tech tools leading to the
deforestation as well as land and air pollutions.

However, I also believe that technology is an essential part to help
humanity to improve the environmental quality. Nobody can deny that the
technological development definitely plays an important role in forming
some new clean energy to reduce the pollution rate. Besides, many people
learn how to apply modern equipment in producing to minimize the use of
power as well as the dangerous chemicals. For example, scientist created a
lot of solar-energy pane to exploit the power from instead of using
electric, fossil fuel to protect environment.

From what has been discussed above, one can reach a conclusion that
technological development causes some environment problems and also can be
seen as a good solution to improve the environmental quality.
