Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
In some countries, the number of people choosing to live by themselves is increasing rapidly in recent years. Why is this the case? Is this a positive or negative development?
In several parts of the world, people are increasingly deciding to live alone. This is attributable to some causes, and I believe it is a negative trend.
To begin with, there are several factocs that lead to the situation in which many people are choosing to live by themselves. One of those factors is that people who decide to live alone want to become more independent and self-reliant. For example, students who live alone far away from their family have to deal with daily problems such as going shopping for food or cooking their own meals, which helps them develop a sense of the responsibility towards their lives. In addition, due to a significantly number of people who are getting a divorce, other individuals seem to be afraid of marriage. As a result, they have a tendency to live alone, and may do not bear the finalcial and economic burden to support families.
I believe that the rise in one-person households can be negative because of some reasons. The first reason is that the elderly and single parents can be a higher risk of mental health issues associated with living alone. This means that they are more likely to suffer from more despressed, isolated, and worried mood. Moreover, since too many people choose to live by themselves, it would be increasing the ageing population. This would have a variety of negative impacts on the productivity in the workforce as there are fewer young people who work on physical jobs.
In conclusion, there are a number of reasons why individuals nowadays tend to live by themselves, and the trend towards living alone can result in some drawbacks.Attachments:
