Task 2: Some people think that newly built houses should follow the style of the old houses in the local areas, while others think that people should have freedom to build houses of their own styles. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

While some people think that a new house should build follow the style of the local areas, others believe that people have their freedom to choose a style they want. In my opinion, the house is reflecting a local culture, which should be preserved by people in an area.

On the one hand, there are several reasons to support the idea of having a modern house style. The first one is that the modern house style provides an cutting-edge technology and smart designs, which serves people needs. Therefore, individuals should choose that style if they wish. The second reason is that costs of traditional construction make old style housing too expensive and also maintain costs of it is very high . Moreover, there are not easy to find suppliers who understand traditional construction materials.

On the other hand, some people think that newly built house should follow the traditional local style. Firstly, preserving culture heritage is really important and a house is a way to show a strong sense of local identity. As the people who live in that surrounding, they should respect the historical significance . In addition, a combination where the modern meets the traditional, which is convenient in terms of cultural conservation and a reasonable price for a modern house at the same time.

In conclusion, although both views certainly have some validity, it seems to me that modern housing developments must respect the existing architecture of a local area.
