Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
Nowadays people live in the society where consumer goods are cheaper to buy. Do you think its advantages outweigh disadvantages?
In recent years, there has been a growing number of people living in the society where customer items are cheaper to own. While this trend is benefical for citizens to some extent, I would argue that it has more drawbacks.
On the one hand, there are several benefits for customers when products are available at a lower price. First, since the cost of specific goods go down, customers can enjoy inexpensive purchases of diversity types of products. For example, a significantly increasing number of people may have a chance to afford more goods such as a smart TV or an air-conditioning in their homes, which contributes considerably to the quality of their life. Second, the affordability of customer products can promotes people’s purchasing power, which improves the national economy. For instance, in order to meet the rising demand for these merchandise, products being consumed have to increase, which boosts the total gross domestic product of a country.
On the other hand, there are some reasons why this tren has more significant disadvantages. One of these reasons is that cheaper products are usually associated with poor quality. As a result, these goods do not maximize customers’ satisfaction and people are not likely to gradually lose their faith in those product’s manufacturers, which negatively affacts the economy. Additionally, due to the enormous market’s demand, companies may have to expand their factories and accelerate their production process. This would have a variety of negative impacts on the environment as these businesses might discharge chemical waste into rivers, which means that it would lead to environmental degradation.
In conclusion, while the trend that people have a tendency to buy cheaper goods can have some advantages, I believe that its disadvantages are greater.Attachments:
