The diagram below shows the life cycle of a salmon, from egg to adult fish.

It is clear that there are eighth distinct stages in this process, beginning with the spawning of salmon living in river. The final step show how salmon can move to ocean and growth.

At the first stage in the process which illustrates how adult salmon lay eggs. Next incubation step, egg is broken by young salmon. After that, young salmon find food in freshwater, as a result, salmon is growing in freshwater. Before moving to the ocean, young fish live in estuary. In this location, young salmon spend a mount of time to live because they must be familiar with environment in salt water.

After living in estuary, young fish migrate to ocean. Beside finding meat to growth, young fish become adult salmon. In next step, maturated salmon mate each other to spawn. In the spawning period, they move again to river which is also the final step in this process.
