Some people like living in a house, while others prefer an apartment. Are there more advantages than disadvantages to living in a house rather than in an apartment?
Choosing a placed called home is not an easy decision to make, so whether there are more benefits to live in a house or in an apartment is a controversial question. However, there are both merits and drawbacks that require thorough consideration.
The greatest advantage of living in a house is more freedom and a lot more privacy. There are no curious eyes from the neighbors that may bother you. Another significant plus is more space and outdoor activities. You can have a parking space in a house while it is difficult to find it in front of a crowded apartment. Besides, you can grow your own organic vegetables or make outdoor parties in your garden. The third bonus is that humans could have everything their way when they build or modify their houses such as the number of bedrooms, the wall colors and the type of fence.
Although living in a house has many credits, there still exist some noteworthy debits. The most serious dark side of these is having less security than living in an apartment. Some apartment buildings have security guards, camera systems and security equipment front doors that can only be open with a code or card. The next negative aspect is that a house is more expensive to purchase or rent. Most people choose to live in an apartment because they need to borrow money from banks to buy it. Another possible problem is that location of apartment buildings is more convenient than houses. Actually, with limited money, you only buy a house far from the city center while you can buy an apartment with an awesome location, so you can save your time to transport from your home everyday.
All things considered, deciding to live in a house or an apartment is never simple, hence you need to weigh up the pros of privacy, space and repair and the cons of security, finance and location. In my opinion, living in an apartment has its advantages over-weighting its disadvantages.
