The use of the proportion of water in industry, agriculture and households in six different parts on Earth is illustrated in the pie charts.
Overall, at the first glance it is clear that most areas use water for agricultural activities, especially in developing areas. However, in developed areas, namely, North America and Europe, water is used more in industry than other purposes.
In agricultural use, Central Asia has the largest percentage of water use at 88%, followed by Africa and South East Asia with 84% and 81%, respectively. Nearly three-fourths proportion of water used for agriculture in South America. However, in North America, less than 40% water used for this purpose, and it takes only one-third in Europe.
For other purposes, Europe has the largest water consumption in industry at 53%, followed by 48% in North America. In four developing areas, less than 10% water used for industry, accept South East Asia with 12%. Domestic use accounts for 19%, 15% and 13% in South America, Europe and North America, respectively. However, it took less than 10% in three other parts of the world.Attachments:
