The charts below give information on the ages of people when they got married in one particular country in 1996 and 2008. Summarize the information by selecting and repairing the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates data on the percentage of female and male getting married among six different age groups in 1996 and 2008.
Overall, both genders experienced a slight decrease before the age of 30, and a marked increase after that age. The proportion of women getting married from 16 to 29 is higher, but became lower right after 29.
It can be seen from the chart that the percentage of married females in two age groups under 24 showed a small decline of 1% and 4%, respectively. When it comes to males, no one from 16 to 19 married in both years. For people in the age of 25 to 29, while the rate of women remained unchanged, that of men dropped slightly from 9% in 1996 to exactly 8% in 2008.
In term of older age groups, men and women showed the same trend of increasing. Started with 9% in 1996, the proportion of married men between 30 and 34 rose significantly to 11% in 2008, nearly reached the highest rate of women. After that age, men kept extending the gap in number between two gender, it was 1% difference for people aged 35 to 39. Similarly, for men and women above 40, the gap also largened for the same percentage in two years.
