The bar char compares consumer spending on five different items in France and the United Kingdom.
Overall, UK people spent more money than people in France. Of the five items, consumers spent the most money on cars and least money on perfume.
People in the UK spent just over Pound450,000 on cars, which is the highest figure shown on the graph. The expenditure of French citizens on this item was Pound150,000 lower than that amount. Approximately Pound400,000 and Pound350,000 were spent by UK citizens on books and cameras respectively. In contrast, the spending of French people on these two items was significantly lower, at Pound300,000 and Pound150,000.
The figures for spending on computers and perfume were higher in France than in the UK. While the amount spent on computers by French citizens was about Pound380,000, the figure for UK was slightly lower, at Pound350,000. The similar pattern was seen in the expenditure of perfume. French paid out Pound200,000 for this item, compared to about Pound140,000 spent by the UK people, which is the lowest figure shown on the chart.Attachments:
