The bar chart compares worldwide sales of five famous cell phone brands in three different years from 2009 to 2013.
Overall, Samsung and Nokia had significantly higher global sales than other brands over the period reported. Additionally, while the number of Samsung and Apple mobile phones sold increased significantly, there was declines in the figures for Nokia and LG.
In 2008, global sale of Nokia was highest, at about 450 million units, whereas the sales figure for Samsung was half of that amount. Over the next four year, the quantity of Samsung mobile sold rose by 100 million in 2001 and reached its peak of 450 million in 2013. In contrast, after a slight decrease in 2011, only approximately 260 million cell phones of Nokia were sold globally at the end of period.
On the other hand, Apple sold the smallest quantity of mobiles in 2009, at around 25 million units. However, this figure went up dramatically to 250 million in 2013. Over the period, while worldwide sale of ZTE remained relatively stable around 150 million, LG experienced a decrease of 50 million units in its phone number sold globally, from 120 million in 2009 to only 70 million in 2013.Attachments:
