Some people think the increasing business and cultural contact between countries brings many positive effects. Others say it causes the loss of national identities.
Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.
It is sometimes argued that the government should expand business through cooperate with other foreign companies. However, people think that it might affect negatively to cultural and national identity. Although the latter opinion is supported by many, I find it sensible that working with various businesses in different countries will bring a lot of advantages.
On the one hand, there are many convincing explanations to support why cooperating with international companies may create the possible danger of country’s national identity. First and foremost, some films have to change their traditional images in order to appropriate with foreign companies’ requirements. For instance, instead of enriching a nation’s tradition, some enterprises strived to enhance notable culture of Western countries such as launching exhibitions, TV programmes, and clothes which achieve effectively youngsters’ interest. Moreover, in the process of globalization, there is the number of people give up their mother tongue to pursue the dominant language in the world – English.
On the other hand, people with a contrasting viewpoint maintain that co-operating with partners from overseas will provide cost-effective benefits as well as positive influences to a nation. Initially, large multinational companies spread the latest technologies around the world. To be more specific, thanks to some specialized machinery, companies might save labour human efficiently. As a result, they do not splurge too much for employing staff. Another angle can be found in the fact that citizens in a country have more opportunities to integrate into a new modern world. They learn and exchange more knowledge about different cultures.
To conclude, although expanding business and interaction with other countries all over the world might give the fear of vanishment in national identity. I personally believe that co-operating with them will be a state-of-the-art method to achieve many benefits.
