Some people think that computers and the internet are more important for a child’s education than going to school. But others believe that schools and teachers are essential for children to learn effectively. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
It is sometimes argued that technology plays a crucial role in the way young people study. However, many believe that students will be taught better if they are guided by the experienced teachers in school. Although the first opinion may be true some extent, I hold a firm belief that youngsters should be taught directly.
On the one hand, there are many convincing explanations to support why computers and the internet are the great source of information for students. First and foremost, it assists children a lot in learning languages fields. To be more specific, with the development of digital age, there are eye-catching songs or music videos which might create the interest and effort for learners achieving knowledge. Secondly, young people can gain more extended information which schools do not teach them. For instance, the information about temporary influencers such as Donald Trump or Jack Ma… can replace tedious history class, helps them to reach the global growth effectively.
On the other hand, people with contrasting viewpoint maintain that the support of technology is never an adequate alternative for children. Initially, schools are places for youngsters gather to be educated and learn from each other. In more details, they can improve step-by-step everyday by experienced teachers. From there, learners’ acquisition of knowledge is guided and backed up in a systematic way. Another angle can be found in the fact that moral standards can only be taught by teachers in traditional classes. Computers are just a kind of machinery. Therefore, it cannot fit learners’ behavior.
To conclude, while nowadays digital age is gradually progressed and bring many benefits to students, I still think that the assistance of teachers in school has always been a best teaching method.
