Some people think that museums should be enjoyable places to entertain people, while others believe that the purpose of museums is to educate. Discuss both views and give your own opinion?
It is sometimes argued that the importance of museums in education field. Many think that historical places should have more measures to attract young visitors, making them become prevalent destinations. Nevertheless, others suppose the main purpose of stopping by museums is acquire knowledge and cultivate cognition. Although the latter opinion is supported by many, I personally that historical attractions should be made more interesting.
On the other hand, there are many convincing explanations for why museums should only be a place to learn and gain knowledge. First and foremost, the aim of any exhibition is exclusively provide tourists with information about historical events that they did not know before. Hence, making museums turn into places for entertainment purposes will make them lose true values. Moreover, if wanting museums become attractive destination, it means the government has to allocate more to refurbish. As a result, it wastes a majority of time and nation’s finance.
On the other hand, people with a contrasting viewpoint maintain that when only historical attractions are more enjoyable, visitors in general and youngsters in particular feel excited to visit them. Initially, every student think that history is a tedious subject, thus they usually find difficult to learn it. Therefore, making museums to be not only places to acquire knowledge, but also to relax their mind is totally sensible. They might get excitement in study in a positive way. Secondly, by adding more entertainment activities, museums are no longer boring destination and they can achieve more visitors, even picky ones.
To conclude, although the issue of whether museums should offer more entertaining activities or still keep them places for educative aim is raising many debates, I hold a firm belief that they should innovate more and balance between education and recreation as well.[7/25/2018, 12:48:08 PM] Cám ơn các bạn!
