The pie charts compare the figure for different languages other than English were spoken by British Students at an England university in two separate years.
It is clear that most of the students could use at least one other language. While there was the same proportion of students spoke German only as an additional language in 2000 and 2010.
There was 30% of students who could not use any foreign languages in communication in 2000, while its counterpart in 2010 accounted for 35%. The percentage of students who were able to speak two other languages rose from 10% in 2000 to 15% in 2010.
In contrast, there was a decline in the proportions of students who could only speak French or Spanish from 15% and 20% respectively to 10% for both items in 2010. While, the figure for students who used another language increased by 5% from 10% in 2000 to 15% in 2010. The percentage of students spoke German only was 10% in 2000 as well as in 2010.Attachments:
