Nowadays the rate of obesity in many countries is on the increase while there is a significant decrease in the level of people’s health and fitness. This essay will analyse some reasons behind this trend and solutions should be taken to mitigate it.
There are two main reasons why people now get fat relatively easy . One reason is that people now eat more junk food than ever due to unstoppable growth of fastfood industry, which provides its customers a wide variety of hamburgers, fried chickens and French fried potatoes with very reasonable prices. Another reason is lack of exercise. After long working hours, everyone would fancy the idea of lying on their sofa and eating a pizza they have ordered rather than perspiring themselves in any gym clubs or yoga centres.
Some measures should be taken by the government to increase the level of people’s health and fitness. Firstly, the unquestionable health benefits of having a balanced diet ought to be more widely promoted through official media beside the negative impacts of eating too much fastfood . Secondly, the local government should create more useful programmes to encourage people getting exercise whenever they can. For example, Metro users in Mexico city were being offered directly a free travel if they would performed ten consecutive squats. This promotes having good health to people who spend a lot of time sitting down or someone who do not have time to do exercise.
In conclusion, there are numerous causes lead to a noticeable expansion in the number of people who get out of shape while the level of their health and fitness is decreasing in some countries and several imperative actions need to be taken to solve these problems.
