The two tables exemplify the number of UK graduates and postgraduates who do not look for a full-time job in 2008, including four tasks: part-time work, voluntary work, further study and unemployment.
Overall, almost all students tended to do further study in 2008. Noticeably, there was a small amount of students applying for a voluntary work.
As can be seen from table 1, in 2008, the number of graduate doing further study reached the highest point which was 29,665 students, comparing with those doing part-time work and voluntary work, which was 17,735 and 3,500 students respectively. Furthermore, there was a high proportion in the number of students not finding a job in 2008.
Regarding table 2, more than half of students could not have a job (1,625 people). This figure is equivalent to the amount of unemployed graduates. The number of postgraduates looking for part-time work accounted for high proportion (2,535 students), comparing with just 345 ones doing voluntary work.Attachments:
