Pls help me to correct it

It is true that traffic and pollution is one of the most critical problems in modern societies. While some people argue that the rise in fuel‘s expenditures like petrol can solve this problem, I believe that this approach is not effective but there are other ways to deal with it.
On the one hand, increasing the price of petrol can lead to other issues in terms of industrial development and basic human needs. Obviously, fuel like petrol or gasoline is the raw material in order to generate energies which are used for industrial and household purposes. The energy is required in order to operate machines and equipment in factories, which can maintain a stable industry. In addition it is necessary for transportation, heating and cooling requirements, especially for countries with extreme temperature climate. This fundamental living standard can be influenced seriously in case the spending on this material goes up significantly.
On the other hand, I think that by investigating the root causes of traffic and pollution problems, there are better methods. First of all, pollution does not completely stem from emission of vehicles but from other reason like increasing of disposal garbage or the lack of green areas in cities. As a result, the government should raise public’s awareness about the importance of green environment so that citizens have their own responsibilities to keep surrounding areas clean and green. Secondly, in order to reduce traffic and fumes from vehicles, more public transportation means like subways and sky-trains should be constructed to meet different travelling demands. With reasonable and effective transportation systems, it is certainly that people might be less interested in driving private cars and so, the traffic on the road can decrease.
In conclusion, it seems evident that increasing cost of fuel can result in other issues. As a result, the government should analyze the root causes of pollution and traffic problems in order to address more effective measures
