Nowadays, there is a rapid increase in the number of younger crimes in numerous countries. There is a lot of reasons behind this fact and several solutions should be proposed to change this.
There is a variety of reasons why crime rate in teenagers has increased in recent years. One reason is that the world are now obtaining insufficient jobs, which causes a number of the youngers to be unemployed. Without an occupation means not having enough money to earn a living so it is no choice for children to do anything even terrible things to survive. Another reason is the “personal” characteristic of wanting to show off his or her ability. Teenagers’s pride based on wealthy and fame which depends greatly on other’s attention, and an act of breaking the laws is a result of it. For example, a normal boy smokes and drinks alcohol in the verge of impressing his friends or attracting his parents’s consideration.
Nevertheless, measures must be taken by government and international bodies to solve this problem. Firstly, the authority can reduce crime rates by prompting unemployment benefits, so that it will help individuals who have not had a work yet meet their basic needs without harming others. Secondly, if harsh policy of preventing children from doing what they want does not work, it will be better to give them the right to prove their values in appropriate way. For example, we can possibly hold a lot of competition in different fields such as sport, art, and science, which encourage teenagers to both access high knowledge and fulfill their ambition of assessing their ability.
