Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
Topic: The government and individuals are spending too much money on national celebrations like New Year or festival. Do you agree or disagree?
The national and individual budget on celebrating special occasions is believed to be wasteful. However, I would argue that those celebrations brings numerous benefits to both the nation and it citizens
On the one hand, there are several reasons why the expenditure on special occasions should not considered a waste of financial resources. Chief among them is that national events contribute to the economic growth. Specifically, festive activities boost the development of the tourism industry by attracting foreigners to visit the country. Moreover, thanks to the investment of authorities in festivals, residents can reinforce their awareness of the nation’s cultural and historical values. For example, the activities celebrating the National Day will enhance public awareness of our ancestors’ sacrifice and cultivate patriotism among young generations.
On the other hand, I would contend that individuals should not to blame for extensive spending on special events. First, the expenditure on events allows people to enjoy their life. Such celebrations are the sinificant opportunities for people to take a break from their hectic life. By contrast, without the investment of individuals on these occasions, such as New Year Holiday, people cannot have a great time to tighten the bond with other family members. Instead, they have to idle away the hours by working and struggle with the tedium of their routine.
In conclusion, national celebrations play an essential part in developing the country as well as recharging people’s energy.Attachments:
