The line graph reveals U.S energy utilization by power source from 1980 to 2008 and projected consumption to 2030, units measured in quadrillion units (q).
Overall, petrol and oil are the dominant power sources in the US as opposed to hydrogen being the least consumed in the country.
In the first year, 1980, the amount of petrol and oil consumed stood at 35q. Despite initial fluctuations, the figure rose significantly in 1995, reaching about 40q by 2008 and expected to reach nearly 50q in 2030. Coal and natural gas experienced a similar trend throughout the timeframe. Starting at 20q, natural gas showed a oscillation in its consumption and and projected to plateau between 2013 and 2030 at approximately 23q while coal used progressively surge by about 5q in 2005, exceeding natural gas in 2013 at 23q and reaching 27q in the last year.
Nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower consumption started at 3q in 1980. While the figures for nuclear and solar/wind rose marginally, reaching 7q and 4q respectively in 2030, that of hydropower has fallen back to the 1980 figure (3q) after slight increases.[7/27/2019, 8:34:27 PM] Cám ơn các bạn!
