Nowadays, many people have access to computers on a wide basis and a large number of children play computer games. What are the positive and negative impacts of playing computer games and what can be done to minimize the bad effects?
Today it is clear that computers are widely used by people of all ages and children are also accustomed to playing computer games. This essay will figure out the good and bad impacts of playing computer games and consider some measures to tackle the negative effects.
To begin with, playing computer games brings out both advantages and disadvantages for children. For one hand, playing computer games fosters children’s cognitive thinking and they know to overcome the difficulty that is very useful in their future lives. Additionally, children gain skills such as time-management and problem-solving skills that are crucial for their career prospects. For other hand, children waste a lot of time in playing games instead of taking part in outdoor activities. Besides, children who spend more time playing games and do not work out enough are more likely to have obesity, diabetes or other types of diseases. Furthermore, children playing games will lack of communication skills and miss chances of socialization.
However, some measures are affective to mitigate the bad effects of playing computer games. Firstly, parents should limit the amount of time playing games for children and balance their daily activities. For instance: parents make a daily timetable to children to follow such as doing physical exercise, going to school, learning their lessons, doing household chores, playing computer games and other suitable activities. Secondly, parents may use playing games as an incentive for children if they perform well at school or they have good deeds which means that children are not allowed to play games if they commit wrongdoings. Finally, parents can play games with children to tighten bond between family members and to control bad games that may affect badly on children.
In summary, playing computer games become popular to children. Although it brings about bad and good effects on children, we still find out some solutions that are helpful in dealing with negative impacts of playing computer games.[6/3/2018, 7:47:58 PM] Cám ơn các bạn!
