Topic: Many museum and historical sites are mainly visited by tourists but not by local people. Why is this the case and what can be done to attract more local people to visit these places
In recent years, an increasing number tourists visiting historical sites have gained more popularity than local citizens. There are many reasons in this situation and how to attract more local people, which will be discussed in this essay.
On the one hand, there are a lot of reasons why local residents are not interested in visiting natural culture legacy. Firstly, almost schools do not emphasise the importance of regional history and culture for student. Therefore, they are not awareness about benefits of going to visit these places with aim to enrich knowledge for themselves. Secondly, rather than historical buildings, people want to discover new landmarks. This means that instead of going around many familiar places, even monotonous such as local museum, a lot of individuals will show their interest should they step in beyond the border to explore natural spots and diverse cultures.
On the other hand, there are some solutions that should be taken properly. Firstly, school should encourage pupils to research more about culture, the value of historical nation through educational excursion trips to museums and historical sites. It is best way to foster their interests of student in this aspect. Secondly, government should boost domestic tourism by advertising some events and local places, provide financial incentives to tourist attractions and make sure that the tourist companies serve visitors in domestic as well as abroad in fairly and friendly way.Attachments:
