You must be logged in to view attached files.thanks for your comments. so,I have some questions that i want to ask.
first of all, in 1:25,1:26 ,1:34 . i means, which allowed me to….: so if i use ” allowed” in these sentences, will it be Grammarly correct? if not, what my pronunciation is wrong in this word, why did you listen into ‘allow’, while i mean ‘allowed”
additionally, what’s problem with my pronunciation, which makes me feel the most worried in speaking.
again, thanks so much for your clearly comments, you are maybe enthusiastic person.
I look forward to hearing from you
With loveHello,
Thank you for the questions. Here are my answers for them
1. At the 1:24, 1:25 mark, you were talking about the reason why you like this coffee shop (‘the reason…. is’), here you are using present tense, so I think the naturally the part following this, elaborating on these reasons, should also be in present tense -> ‘allows’ . I don’t think past tense is suitable here.
2. If you were saying ‘allowed’. Firstly, it’s rather unsuitable (like I mentioned above). Secondly, ‘allowed’ is pronounce as /əˈlaʊd/, with a clear ‘d’ sounds to indicate the past tense. Your pronunciation is missing this.
3. Overall, I think your pronunciation is fine. Maybe what you should focus more on is elminating those ‘you know’ ‘ah’ and awkward pauses.
Thank you.
