Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views.
Upon graduating from high school, students often wonder whether to attend a university or get a career. While there are benefits to continuing further education, there are also good reasons why it might be beneficial to take part in a job after high school.
On the one hand, further education is attractive for several reasons. First, by attending colleges, students will be able to attend excel in their chosen profession, and since some jobs require academic qualifications, young jobseekers are likely to guarantee their future career. Furthermore, students would be provided with better job opportunities because having a degree is already a tremendous advantage, and they will likely get far higher salaries than those without a university qualification. It is also common knowledge that the job market has become incredibly competitive, so further education through which graduates get bachelor or PhD degrees is likely to pave the way for students. For example, psychology has been increasingly important, and people with a qualification in this field could participate in a number of professions such as scientific studies, education, or therapy.
On the other hand, there are a variety of reasons why getting a job after high school is also a prominent option. Firstly, people that seek an occupation straight after school could start earning money, thanks to which they are less reliant on their parents’ financial support. Secondly, engaging in challenging tasks, not only can they live independently on their own income but they might also gain work experience, obtain a lot of valuable skills, and attract the attention of the companies. For instance, a number of jobseekers who do not pursue further education are still employed by prestigious businesses because they are well-prepared and experienced, believed to outweigh those who did not gain practical skills. As a result, getting a job helps get promotions so that workers are able to afford their private house, settle down early, and nurture their children.
In conclusion, it seems evident that both pursuing higher education and getting a job after high school have their own unique advantages.
