The graph below shows information on employment rates across 6 countries in 1995 and 2005.
The bar chart compares the differences between male and female in terms of emplyment rates in 6 countries between 1995 and 2005.
It is clear that Employment proportions between both grenders increased substantially. Male’s rates was much higher than female’s in every country over the period.
In term of male’s employment figures, In 1995, over 70% of Irish men had a job as opposed to the lowest of over 50% in the UK. In the following decade, Iceland’s trend was set to continue with 84% of men being employed. The percentage of UK also grew to 20%, coming to the third position. The other countries all peaked at around 70% in 2005.
Regarding female’s, nearly 50% of Women in Switzerland was employed which was twice as high as the lowest of 25% in New Zealand and Australia. Although the same figures were recorded in New Zealand and Australia in 1995, New zealand’s rate slightly overtook Australia’s in the next decade, leaving Australia with the lowest of below 40% of female employed. The other nations all saw an increase by nearly 15% throughout the period.Attachments:
