The bar chart compares levels of employment in six countries named Australia, Switzerland, Iceland, the U.K, New Zealand, and the USA between 1995 and 2005.
Overall, the proportions of men who were employed in six studied nations were significantly higher than the proportions of women with work. Switzerland was a country that the rates of the employment of both males and females were higher than the remaining countries over the period of 10 years.
In 1995, Iceland was the country that have the highest rate of employment for men, with above 70% while the figure for the UK was lowest, at around 55%. On the other hand, the largest opportunity for women to get the job in this year was in Switzerland, [58%] which was more twice as much as that in New Zealand, at about 26%.
The following decade, in 2005, the employment rates of both men and women increased considerably among countries. The male employment rates fluctuated from 69% to 72% in four counties including Australia, the UK, New Zealand and the USA. In this year, about 78% Swiss men was employed while the figure for Iceland reached to the peak of nearly 83%. Similarly, the highest women employment percentage was in Switzerland [68%] and lowest in Australia [39%]. Finally, the female levels of employment in New Zealand, Iceland, the USA, and the UK were 41%, 52%, 61% and 63%, respectively.Attachments:
