Most countries across the world have been heavily depending on fossil fuels as the main sources of energy. However, the increasing awareness of the limited availability of fossil fuels along with the environmental problems caused by their application induces the usage of clean and sustainable forms of energy. I personally concur that this change can be seen as a progress.
On the one hand, there is no room for doubt that fuels derived from prehistoric organisms fail to meet growing demand for energy in the era of industrialization and modernization and the combustion of coal and oil exerts detrimental influences on the environment. To commence with, the expansion of production, the increasing number of transportation vehicles and electric devices in human life predispose heavy consumption of energy; therefore, if continuously resorting to fossil fuels which are considered non-renewable and ultimately depleted, countries tends to suffer from energy shortage in the future. Furthermore, the high levels of greenhouse gas and caborn dioxide, which are allegedly under the effect of burning these natural substances, are responsible for global warming, climate change and the degradation of air quality.
On the other hand, thanks to being clean and free from exhaustion, alternative sources of energy act as satisfactory substitute for fossil fuel to guarantee the progress of human society. First and foremost, renewable sources such as wind motion, heat from the sun or moving water, which are always available in nature, can offer sustainable and boundless energy supply in the long term. To be equally important, only by taking advantage of environmentally friendly energy sources like wind and solar which are proved to produce zero emissions can people not only reduce the dependence on fossil fuels but also cutting back on air pollution.
By way of conclusion, I once again restate my position that that governments stimulate the use of renewable energy sources is obviously an important step forward.Attachments:
