It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents for instance for sports or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion
While some people believe that not all children are born gifted, some suppose that we can teach any child to be good at sports or music. This essay will elaborate whether training can help a person to be proficient in such fields.
On the one hand, children who are gifted since being born are more inclined to success. It is obvious that people who have talents in certain subjects have more advantages in doing things smoothly and successfully than those who are not gifted. For instance, having a beautiful voice is the prerequisite condition for a singer to win in a singing contest. Moreover, some works require the performers to have a certain qualities to be able to undertake it. For example, any athlete should meet with physical requirements before being trained to master the expertise techniques and skills.
On the other hand, training and regular self-practice play important roles in anyone’s career prospects. Firstly, many researches have found that talent only accounts for 1 percent whereas regular practice and training attribute to 99 percents to success and this finding has been proved to be completely true through true facts. Secondly, people also believe that thanks to training, people can exceed their physical and mental limit to reach their full potential. For example, although an athlete has some good qualities such as good health, great passion in what they are doing but they are unable to achieve their career goals if they do not practice on a daily basis.
