The two pie charts below compare the differences of three types of
communication are phone, computer and letter used in 1962 and in 1982.
In the first pie chart in 1962, letter had the highest percentage in three
methods of communication, approached 50%. Besides, the percentage of phone
was 35% much higher then computer’s percentage was just 15%.
The second pie chart in 1982 can be seen that the telephone, which made up
more than a half (60%), became the highest percentage of all. Moreover, the
number of people used computer increased to 30%. However, the percentage of
letter decreased dramatically and was the lowest percentage, which was only
10%.
Overall, according to the two pie charts, from 1962 to 1982, there was a
significant growth in percentage of phone from 35% to 60%. In addition,
using computer rose double in 1982. Otherwise, through twenty years, we can
see a substantial fall in the percentage of letter.
