Some people think the main benefit of international cooperation is in protection of the environment, while others think that the main benefit is in the world business. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Nowadays, international cooperation is developing quickly in the world. While there are strong arguments that this trend is present the benefit for protecting the environment, I believe that the world business is more benefitcial from this trend.
On the one hand, it is true that the international organizations support the preservation of the environment. Firstly, the international organization could have more funds for environmental services. For example, because they work in a lot of countries, they could earn money from the developed countries, such as from volunteer activities, then they possibly use money in the poor countries, which really need the support for the environment. In this case, the support not only improves the environmental condition but also encourage the good activities. Secondly, the international contracts for preservation could be more effective than the national contract of small organizations because every actions of the country will be punished by the contractional members. For instance, COP21 is an effective contract, we can easily apply to many areas in the world.
On the other hand, the role of international cooperation is important for world business. The first reason is that the company could quickly expand the international market as well as have more profits. For example, customers easily buy the high-tech devices from some famous brands, such as Samsung, Apple, etc. The second reason is that the economy of developing countries could be improved by the investment of foreign companies. When the number of cooperation is increases, the foreign investor could choose the developing nation to broaden the market, such as creating more jobs, attracting more investors, bringing about other global chances, etc,…
In conclusion, it seems tp me that international cooperation has brought about more advantages to the global economy than to the environment.
