Đề bài: Some teachers think that international student exchange would be beneficial for all teenage school students. Do you think its advantages will outweigh the disadvantages?
In recent years, many universities have established a variety of international projects to exchange learners during study courses. While I accept that this tendency has potential drawbacks for those students, I would argue that its benefits are more significant.
On the one hand, the international student exchange can bring some disadvantages for youngsters. Adolescents who are still immature or incompetent may encounter some certain obstacles such as language barrier, homesickness and culture shock etc. when they live in a foreign country. These factors can have negative effects on a person’s mental health and study quality. In addition, many school-age students just aim to entertain themselves or travel to different places during the international exchange period, instead of focusing on their learning objectives. Therefore, this trend can contribute to the waste of money and time for schools and society since students’ academic results may not as high as initial expectation of colleges.
On the other hand, I believe that these disadvantages are outweighed by the advantages. Firstly, broadening knowledge horizon and raising better study enthusiasm will be noticeable benefits for those who participate the international exchange projects. Young-aged students can have a precious chance to assimilate knowledge of diverse culture and technology advances from the developed countries like United State, Australia, Japan, together with the knowledge of their own fields. Secondly, while studying in international environment, the youngsters can expand their social network as well as enhance their language and communication skills which have positive impacts to student’s long-term career and promotion opportunity in later life.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the benefits of exchanging students among international universities are more remarkable than the possible drawbacks.[9/10/2019, 8:23:20 PM] Cám ơn các bạn!
