The chart above shows the different free time varying by sex and employment status in period from 1998 to 1999.
Firstly, there is some variances about leisure time between men and women. As we can see, most of the case, men have about ten free weeks more than women. It includes full-time job, unemplyment and retirement status. But at part-time job, women overwhelm absolutely with about forty free weeks and men have no time to rest. Of course, women always play housewive role and they get about fifty weeks to entertain.
Secondly, from employment status view, the unemployed and retired people always have the most leisure time. These two groups get the same amount. Lower than that, the second position is full-time-job men and housewives, but our home ladies is a little more than men. The lowest free times belongs to employed women whose part-time job is nearly the same as full-time job.
From this chart, we can see that there is likely no different about leisure time between men and women. This is an evidence for the reality that in our community, women is gradually equal to man in many fields of our life, except the housework is still run by women.Attachments:
