Levels of youth crime are increasing rapidly in most cities around the world. What are the reasons for this, and suggest some solutions.
It is true that the number of young people break the laws is in the significant increase in most cities all over the world. There are numerous reasons behind this trend and several solutions should be taken.
There are two main reasons why the young generation tend to indulge themselves in crime nowadays. One reason is that it is comparatively easy to the young approach violent and unhealthy entertainment, which might have an undesirable influence on them who admire an cool act of a villain in the movie and unconsciously imitate it into real life. Another reason is that modern parents are likely to focus on how to build their career up rather than the relationship with their teenage offspring. This sadly leads to some unexpected outcome, such as children may choose illegality as the only way to gain their parents’ attention and eventually, being self-destructive person.
However, measures must be taken by the social community. Firstly, the unquestionable harmful of using high-tech devices by children ought to be more widely aware. Building a suitable schedule in order to take the control of how frequently children watch TV or use the internet would be well advised to keep them away the negative effects. Secondly, people should spend their spare time with their progeny as much as possible. Youth is a sensitive milestone in everyone life to reach maturity, if a young person receive a great family sentiment during this period, he would be inclined to avoid guilty activities and become a useful person for society afterwards.
In conclusion, only by paying more attention to our future generation will the rate of youth crime around the world be reduced.
