The flow chart illustrates the process of producing hydroelectric power.
Overall, there are several steps to generate electricity starting from
water contained a huge reservoir to resulting electricity transferred for
use.
First of all, a large amount of water kept in the reservoir flows into a
long and narrow chamber called penstock through an intake. Thanks to high
pressure of water, turbine which is connected with a generator put in a
large power house above consistently rotates. Energy derives from turbine
movement turns into electrical power. However, instead of reaching the
turbine, a small part of water leaked flows into a river adjacent to the
dam through another tube. In the final step, the resulting power from
generator leaves powerhouse via yellow long and thin cables, followed by
carrying it to reach long distant destination for consumption. Strikingly,
this manufacturing process is conducted with some rudimentary devices and
creates no pollutants.
