The increase in people`s life expectancy means they have to work older to pay for their retirement. One alternative is that people start to work at a younger age. Is this alternative positive or negative development?
It is obvious that due to high living standard coupling with fresh air, humans’ life expectancy is considerably increasing. Hence, many people wonder whether or not they must extend the time in the workplace to pay for their retirement. Others suppose that it is necessary to get to work at a younger age. In my judgement, the later viewpoint is a positive trend.
Although there is a significant rise in the life expectancy of people, working older is not an effective solution to deal with their retirement. One of the most effective measures is that people could spend much money of retirement than in the past. Therefore, they could cover the living cost when they become older. Furthermore, working older means the younger people do not obtain golden opportunities to get a good job. The younger is strongly believed to gain remarkable growth for a corporation than the old people.
In addition, regarding the second viewpoint, getting to work at a younger age brings about various benefits to people. It is not just because they would have a huge amount of money in the long run but they can accumulate many working experience as well as crucial skills very soon. Therefore, they are likely to become rich,; more importantly, they would not pay much attention to the life after moving the workplace as they still have sufficient money to live.
In conclusion, working older or setting up a company depends much on one’s viewpoint. Meanwhile working older makes people exhausted and not give the career opportunities to others, working when being young could assist a person to accumulate a big amount of money for retirement.
