The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

The line graph compares the carbon dioxide comsumptions per person in four countries from 1967 to 2007.
Overall, the percentage of emisions in Sweden and United Kingdom decreased over the period of 40 years. Although two trends were similar in terms of a general decline, the carbon dioxide emisions in Italy and Portugal increased gradually.
In the 1967 – 1987, the United Kingdom emisions is higher than Sweden, it always remained above 10%, while the carbon dioxide emisions in Sweden only comsumpted to 11%. Throughout the remainder of the period, the firgue of emisions in Sweden fell sharply to 8%.
Over the same period, the CO2 emisions used in Portugal and Italy varied more significantly than two countries above. It dropped to approximately 1% by the year 1967, which was it lowest point of the whole line graph.To be more specific, the C02 comsumptions in Italy increased considerably, before remaining relatively constant from 1997 – 2007.
