The above line graph illustrates the consumption of food was changed from
1985 to 2010 in terms of salt, meat and fish in China.Overall, there were three marked trends corresponding to three items of
food: a decrease, an increase and a fluctuation. However, fish was always
consumed in the largest volume by Chinese people.In the 1985-1995 period, the fish consumption fluctuated around 600
grams/person/week. After that, there was a gradual growth in this item,
from 700 in 2000 to approximately 850 grams/person/week. In summary,
despite up or down trend, the amount of fish always was consumed more than
600 grams/person/week.For salt and meat, there were opposite tendencies according to the current
of time. While the meat consumption always went up slightly, only 100
grams/person/week increased during 25 years and almost level out between
2000 and 2010, the volume of salt used went down more considerably, every
about 50 grams/person/week increased in every 5 years, except 1990-1995.Attachments:
