The line graph compares the number of people to England who went to four different tourist attractions in Brighton between 1980 and 2010.
Overall, there were considerable upward trends in the people going to the Pavilion and the Pier, while the proportion of traveler to other attractions fell. Also, the festival and Pavilion were the favorite attraction during the research period, but in 2010 the art gallery was the least popular.
With regard to the year 1980, the number of people who visited festival was the most popular in Brighton, generating 30%. Additionally, the figures for the Pavilion and art gallery were slightly lower, around 22%. Meanwhile, the proportion of people visited the Pier by England people were least, at 10%.
Between 1980 and 2010, after rising dramatically by 20%, the figure for Pavilion in Brighton hit the peak of 48% in 1995. By contrast, the figure for festival fell to only 25% in 1995 and remained about 26% for the rest of the period. Meanwhile, the number of tourists who visited the Brighton art gallery and the Pier fluctuated slightly, about 9% and 21% respectively in 2010.
