      The line graph compares three different nations in terms of the percentage of 65 and over years olds from 1940 and 2040.
      It is clear that the overall trend of people aged 65 and older moves upward throughout the period shown.
      In 1940, the rate of people aged 65 and over in Japan was only one in twenty while the figures for Sweden and USA were 7% and nearly one in ten respectively. Over the following 50 years, the percentage of the elderly people rose by 5% in the USA and about 7% in Sweden. By contrast, those in Japan slightly fell to under 5%.
      Anticipations indicate that by 2040, about a quarter of Swedish people will be 65 years old or more while the figure while compared to about 23% of American people. At the meantime, the figure for Japan is surprisingly predicted to sharply rocket to peak at 27% at the same time.
