It is better for college students to live far away from home than live at home with their parents. Do you agree or disagree?
Over the past few decades, education for the youth has always been the foremost concern among the public. Some adopt a view that it is plausible and beneficial to separate students from their parents during their university life for the sake of maturity. This standpoint has my total support.Firstly, independence of pupils will be nurtured comprehensively throughout the period without parents. At another city, students have to share room with their new friends who are totally strange to them, which fosters their subtlety and carefulness significantly. Besides a multitude of school assigments, pupils have to do house chores by themselves, leading to an excellent time management skill. Equally importantly, partial financial self-dependence usually requires students to find a part-time job, which is really a good stepping-stone for them to accumulate essential skills and experience for future career path.
Secondly, living far way from home is a favorable chance for pupils to broaden their horizons. In the absence of supervision, students are able to travel anywhere they want, hang out with anyone they like, and do anything they are passionate about as long as being legal. Such activities cultivate young’s creativity which are necessary for their later job, especially their own business, after university. Studying abroad is the best illustration for this phenomenon. At another country, students have more opportunities to explore the world and make friends from various continents, which will not be achived if they live with their parents. Moreover, as an expatriate, oversea students have more motivation and inspiration to study well.
In conclusion, independence and new experiences are certainly important for mature adults. As a result, I believe that students should step out of the Ivory Tower during their college life to push the limits.
