[Mai Yến]

The maps illustrate a great number of significant differences in Stokeford village over the course of 80 years.
Overall, it is obvious that the number of houses increased rapidly, whereas the farmland for raising animals disappeared.
As can be seen from the maps, in 1930, there are some houses along the road which is situated at the center of Stokeford. In 2010, the two positions of farmland to the north- east and the south-west of this village were made way for residential purposes. Besides, the shops vanished completely and the only post office stayed unchanged. At the same time, many streets were constructed, providing residents with an easy assess to surrounding houses.
Furthermore, many large houses near gardens which were replaced by additional houses were widened to become a retirement home from 1930 to 2010. In addition, the primary school opposite the post office was extended with the emergence of two new blocks.
