In many western countries there is an increasing number of couples choosing to have no children. What are the advantages and disadvantages to couples having no children?
In recent years, it has become far more normal for people to being childfree in some western countries.
For a variety of reasons, it seems great for majority of people who decides to have no kids. Firstly, without raising children, adults can spend their time for self-care and for their own career which can fulfill their lives. After a day’s hard work, for example, women can join in yoga club or go to spa instead of taking care of the baby. Secondly, this can play an integral part on overpopulation problems. As this contributes to the long-term population decline that cannot be solved still. Thirdly, they can also save money used for their interest like shopping or even helping others such as donate the money to the charity.
Apart from the practical benefits above, I believe that having baby is one of the most exciting experiences of human life. Therefore, most of people have their own child at around 30 to 40 years old. Indeed, childfree couples can be misfit among their peers. While their friends keep talking about how cute kids are, for instance, they can easily feel like being a fish out of water . Moreover, at the beginning, couples have to fight for their own decisions, against both social judgment and the disapproval from family, which requires the solidarity between married couples. Finally, when they get older, spouses are going to face to the death, the other will remand their lives in loneliness and miserable without the attention from their partners or their offsprings. And when they also die, they don not leave anything behind.
In conclusion, although being childfree can lead people to enjoy their lives without responsibility of parenting, having baby can bring people the great joy of being parents.[03:55:35, 30/7/2018] Cám ơn các bạn!
