The bar chart demonstrates the proportion about most general sports played in New Zealand in 2002. It is further divided into two genders ( Girls and Boy), which particularly shows that their participations in sports are correspond. However there are equivocal dissimilarities in their sports preferences.
Accordingly, the most favored sports among girls is netball, which participation rate scales up to 25%. However, the amount of boys playing this analogous sport is not significant, with only a percentage of merely 1%. Furthermore, most boys prefer soccer, as the participation rate is approximately 25 while many girls don’t greatly enjoy this sports as only about 5% of female participate in this sport. Almost reaching 10%, Cricket is considered to be quite a popular sport among the girls but only about 1% of boys enjoy this sports.
Other sports like Athletics, Martial Arts, Basketball and Tennis have a rather low popularity among both gender and a significant portion of individuals proposed that their favorite choices of sport are not on the list.
