Some people think that robots are very important to human’s future development. Others think that they are dangerous and have negative effects on society. Discuss both opinions and give your personal view.
Over the past few decades, people have used to an idea that machines will replace our working roles sooner or later. People have different views about the benefits to using robots as opposed to the risks of doing so. While there are some potential threats of artificial intelligence, I do believe that we gain various advantages from using robots to better the world.
On the one hand, it is argued that humankind might run up against the dangers of robots in the future. Robots are designed with superhuman abilities surpassing ours and it could threat the human race if robots are controlled by wrong hands. That in turn might put humankind on the edge of extinction because artificial intelligence (AI) could outweigh our species easily. That doomsday scenario typically seen in science fiction movies is still far from a real risk to the world because we have not heard any of that issue in real life.
While the dangers of robots are unrealistic, on the other hand, our life get many advantages from that cutting-edge technology which could be considered as a quantum leap nowadays. Firstly, machines are able to do jobs that people are not interested in such as working in harsh deserts, highly dangerous tasks and so forth. Secondly, robots could perform with high accuracy that we need in variety of 100% accurate jobs such as air traffic control. It is predicted that, by 2040, there will have been no airplane crash in the globe because robot could handle that job excellently.
In conclusion, even though some might be skeptical about the risky artificial intelligence, robots are becoming a critical part to help develop the humanity’s society.[14:01:07, 15/2/2018] Cám ơn các bạn!
