The pie chart below shows the proportion of different categories of
families living in poverty in UK in 2002.The pie chart illustrates information about the rate of members who live in a poverty line from each UK household type in 2002.
Overall, the figures for sole parents, single without children and couple with children were higher than others. Besides, both single persons and couple had a few of people living in poverty if they were old.
The highest proportion was of single parents which was higher almost as twice as the one of all household, at 26% and 14% respectively. The second highest rate was single who did not have children, at 24%, so it was higher as twice as the sum rate of single aged persons and aged couple. Besides, the UK saw a similar figure for couple with children and all household, at 15% and 14% respectively.
The figure for couple without children was at 9% and 7% for the single aged persons, a difference of 2%. Moreover, the rate of single aged persons was a half of the one of the all household. Finally, the least proportion was aged couple, at 5%.Attachments:
