ESSAY:
This pie chart demonstrates why cycling and driving are popular way of commuting to work on daily basis.
Overall, people cycling to workplace mostly tend to think that their health and environment would be improved by this activity. Whereas, driving car gives people the feeling of comfort and convenient in many ways.
In terms of bicycles, it is strongly believed by 30% that cycling is a good way to get in a better health condition, which is equal to the reason that people want to reduce pollution in order to be environmentally-friendly .In addition, the percentages of three remaining reasons are similar, with 15% people are free from parking problems, 13% want to cut down on commuting costs and 12% think driving by car are slower.
For those who tend to drive to work, comfort accounts for the largest propotion, 40%, double the percentage of people who want to deal with long-distanced traveling to work. Moreover, the figures of the need for carrying things to work and the thought that driving car is faster than cycling are the same, 14%. The smallest proportion goes to the feeling that car is much safer than bike, which accounts for 11%.
