The pie charts compare the average percentage of expenditures paid for some major categories of households in two countries, namely Japan and Malaysia.
It is clear that families in both countries spent least on health care. By contrast, households in two nations invested the majority of money in food, housing and other goods and services, accounting more than a fifth of their family’s spending.
In Japan, the highest percentage of money paid for other goods and services, The second highest spending went to food, which constituted just under a quarter of a family’s budget. Expenditures on housing and transport were almost the same, at 21 % and 20% respectively. These two figures were significantly higher those for health care, at 6%.
In Malasia, families spent 34% of the money on housing, compared to the percentage of food and other goods and services, at 27% and 26% respectively. The proportion of expenditures paid for transport was three times as high as that of those for health care, at 3%, which was the lowest figure recorded on the pie charts.Attachments:
